The Africa Selection of the Pastry World Cup took place in the city of Marrakech. On September 13, 2024, the 8 best talents from the African continent competed in the third continental selection of this year, to determine who would represent their country at the Grand Finale of the Pastry World Cup.
Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Senegal, Ghana, Mauritius, Tunisia, and Morocco had to prepare 3 fruit-based frozen desserts, 3 pastry pieces for 6 people, 8 restaurant desserts, 1 artistic chocolate piece, and 1 artistic sugar piece. Only three countries earned a ticket to participate in the final, which will take place on January 24 and 25, 2025, at Sirha Lyon.
